Grounded firmly in design, Aubrey Burgess works in a variety of media including drawing, photography, printmaking, collage, and animation. Burgess’s work celebrates analog methods of creation—existing in a space that straddles the physical and digital. Much of her work seeks to engage with the dialogue between art and design. A garage sale enthusiast and book collector, she spends ample time pouring over publications and illustrations from the past.

Burgess graduated from the University of Kansas in May of 2019 with a BFA in design and minor in art history.  From the Summer of 2019 to the Spring of 2020, she completed a fellowship with Pando Populus in Los Angeles, California. Burgess is currently seeking freelance design, illustration, and photography work.
